Multi-room systems typically support 2–5 indoor units from a single outdoor condenser.

THE INSTALLATION PROCESS
What a multi-room installation involves
Multi-room installations follow the same process as single room but with additional indoor units. Most are completed in a single full day.
Site survey and planning
Your installer plans the pipe routes between all indoor units and the outdoor condenser. Typically discussed during the site visit before the installation day.
Outdoor unit positioned
The condenser is placed in the agreed location. For multi-room systems it's typically on an external wall, in a back garden, or on a flat roof section.
Indoor units fitted in each room
Wall-mounted units installed in each room. Pipework and electrics run from each unit back to the outdoor condenser, clipped neatly to walls or chased in.
System commissioned and tested
Every room tested independently. You're walked through how to control each zone before the engineer leaves.

What affects the final price?
Our estimates cover most standard installations. A few factors can move the price up or down — your installer will flag any of these during the site visit, before any work begins.
Wall construction
Solid brick walls take longer to core drill than cavity or timber frame, adding to labour cost.
Cable run distance
Longer distances between indoor and outdoor units require more pipework and labour.
Outdoor unit placement
Ground level is simplest. Roof or high wall mounting requires additional fixings and access equipment.
Property type
Period properties, listed buildings, and top-floor flats can require additional care and time.
Brand and specification
Premium brands carry a higher equipment cost. Your installer will recommend what's right for your budget.
