The ranges below are indicative estimates based on typical installations. Every home is different — wall construction, cable run distances, and outdoor unit placement all affect the final cost. Your installer provides a fixed written quote after a short site visit. Nothing proceeds without your agreement.

What's included in every installation

Equipment supply

Leading brands — Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric, Panasonic, Samsung. Your installer specifies the right unit for your home.

Full installation

Certified engineers. Indoor unit, outdoor unit, pipework, and electrical connection.

Commissioning and testing

System fully tested and configured before the engineer leaves. Ready to use the same day.

F-Gas certificate

Legally required documentation for all refrigerant work. Provided on completion.

Manufacturer warranty

Standard manufacturer warranty on all equipment. Typically 2–5 years depending on brand.

Workmanship guarantee

Your installer guarantees their workmanship. Any installation defects put right at no cost.

What affects the final price?

Our estimates cover most standard installations. A few factors can move the price up or down — your installer will flag any of these during the site visit, before any work begins.

Wall construction

Solid brick walls take longer to core drill than cavity or timber frame, adding to labour cost.

Cable run distance

Longer distances between indoor and outdoor units require more pipework and labour.

Outdoor unit placement

Ground level is simplest. Roof or high wall mounting requires additional fixings and access equipment.

Property type

Period properties, listed buildings, and top-floor flats can require additional care and time.

Brand and specification

Premium brands carry a higher equipment cost. Your installer will recommend what's right for your budget.
